چکیده

The need to overcome the low energy-absorbing response and tensile strength of geopolymers cementitious materials has motivated researchers develop fiber-reinforced composites. Interestingly, natural cellulosic fibers provide exciting prospects for advancements in bio-based compared synthetic fibers. Incorporating such binders offer a crack limiting effect by creating multiple cracks than forming one major crack, usually leading improved toughness However, their sensitivity alkaline media environmental fluctuations deteriorates durability reinforcing capacity Therefore, exploring suitable mitigation strategies drawbacks based on previous research work figuring out existing gaps further developments is extremely important. In this paper, fiber degradation geopolymer cement-based matrices respective remedial actions have been reviewed comprehensive analysis available literature. influence modification matrix treatment characteristics composites thoroughly discussed. Finally, recommendations suggestions field are presented.
